Warranty Policy
10-Year Limited Warranty for Ergonomic Office Chairs
Last updated: 28 September 2026
Ergowave provides a 10-Year Limited Warranty for eligible ERGOWAVE ergonomic office chairs purchased directly from Ergowave.
This warranty is provided by Yishengda Trading Pty Ltd, the operator of Ergowave. It applies in addition to the rights and remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
1. Warranty Period
This warranty applies for 10 years from the date the chair is delivered to the original purchaser.
Proof of purchase, such as an Ergowave order confirmation, invoice or receipt, may be required when making a claim.
2. What This Warranty Covers
This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship and functional failures arising during normal residential or office use.
Covered chair components include, where applicable:
-
Chair frame and backrest structure.
-
Recline, tilt and locking mechanisms.
-
Seat adjustment and sliding mechanisms.
-
Gas lift and height-adjustment components.
-
Lumbar support and headrest.
-
Armrests and their adjustment mechanisms.
-
Chair base and castors.
-
Retractable or adjustable footrest.
-
Mesh, fabric, padding and upholstery affected by a manufacturing defect.
-
Other original functional components supplied with the chair.
Coverage applies only to manufacturing defects and functional problems arising under normal use. It does not cover accidental damage, misuse or normal wear and tear.
3. Warranty Remedies
Ergowave will assess each warranty claim and provide an appropriate remedy based on the nature of the problem.
If the problem can reasonably be resolved by replacing an individual component, Ergowave will provide the required replacement component at no charge.
We may provide instructions, videos or reasonable technical assistance to help with the installation of a replacement component. If professional repair or another remedy is reasonably required, we will arrange an appropriate solution.
If the chair cannot reasonably be repaired using replacement parts, Ergowave will repair or replace it with the same model or a reasonably equivalent model at no additional product cost.
If the original model is unavailable, we may provide a chair with reasonably equivalent features, function and value.
A customer will only be required to pay a price difference if they voluntarily choose to upgrade to a more expensive chair. No upgrade charge will apply solely because the original model or required component is unavailable.
Approved warranty claims will not be subject to processing or restocking fees.
4. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
These consumer guarantee rights apply automatically and may continue beyond the stated warranty period. Nothing in this warranty excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
For a major failure, the customer may be entitled to choose a refund or replacement. For a minor failure, Ergowave may provide a repair, replacement component or another appropriate remedy within a reasonable time.
5. What Is Not Covered
This limited warranty does not cover:
-
Normal wear and tear arising from regular use.
-
Minor cosmetic changes that do not affect the chair’s function.
-
Damage caused by misuse, abuse, negligence or use contrary to the supplied instructions.
-
Accidental or impact damage, including damage caused while moving the chair.
-
Damage caused by assembly, disassembly or installation that did not follow the supplied instructions, unless the work was performed or arranged by Ergowave.
-
Unauthorised modification or repair.
-
Damage caused by liquids, moisture, chemicals, fire, excessive heat or unsuitable environmental conditions.
-
Cuts, scratches, stains or damage caused by pets.
-
Damage caused by exceeding the chair’s stated weight capacity.
-
Damage caused by using the chair for an unintended purpose.
-
Loss, theft or deliberate damage.
These exclusions do not apply where excluding coverage would conflict with the Australian Consumer Law.
6. Making a Warranty Claim
To make a warranty claim, contact Ergowave and provide:
-
Your full name and contact details.
-
Your order number, invoice or other proof of purchase.
-
The chair name and model.
-
A clear description of the problem.
-
Clear photos or videos showing the issue.
-
Any product label, MPN or serial number requested by our support team.
Please do not dispose of the chair or return it before receiving instructions from Ergowave.
We may ask you to complete reasonable troubleshooting steps or provide additional information so that we can assess the claim accurately.
We aim to acknowledge warranty enquiries within 5 business days. More complex claims may require additional assessment time.
7. Shipping, Collection and Inspection Costs
For an approved warranty claim, Ergowave will cover reasonable costs associated with supplying replacement components, arranging an approved repair or providing an approved replacement chair.
Please contact Ergowave before returning the chair or incurring postage, transport, repair or inspection expenses. We will provide return, collection or inspection instructions where required.
If you incur a reasonable return or transport cost with Ergowave’s prior approval, provide a copy of the receipt to the warranty contact listed below to request reimbursement.
If an inspection confirms that the problem was caused by an excluded event rather than a covered defect, any optional repair, replacement, delivery, collection or inspection cost will be explained and agreed with the customer before work proceeds.
Nothing in this section limits Ergowave’s responsibility to cover costs where required under the Australian Consumer Law.
8. Replacement Chairs and Components
Replacement components or chairs may be new or equivalent replacement items providing substantially similar function and value.
A replacement component or chair does not restart the original 10-year limited warranty period. It remains covered for the balance of the original warranty period, without limiting any separate rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.
